In Coudeville-sur-Mer, Pascal Lechevallier is bringing new life to hotel–restaurant Le Relais des Îles, which he inherited as part of a family history going back to the 60s. Savor the sunset at the rooftop restaurant with a panoramic view of Granville and Chausey. Chef Samuel Loriot’s menu features a large selection of fresh fish, seafood, and dishes cooked over a wood fire like octopus skewers, prime rib, and roasted vegetables. Enjoy a new dish every day, like razor clams in marinara sauce, tuna tataki, and grilled sea bass. The walls of the hotel are decorated with frescos by Victoire Fontaine of Écaille Atelier, paintings, and sculptures. “I wanted to keep the 60s vibe while adding the work of artists I know... and some of mine too,” Pascal admits. His creativity gives Le Relais des Îles its whimsical, sincere personality. Open from April to November.
