Steps from the beach, the Royal Émeraude, built in 1892 and fully renovated, is more than a hotel: it’s a port of call at the heart of Dinard. Each floor is an adventure, from the British Indies to the Orient Express, transatlantic cruises, and the golden age of aviation. Some of the 47 rooms have a sea view or even a spacious terrace, new for 2025. “We redesigned the spaces for an outdoor experience, from the comfort of your own room,” says manager Marc Scognamiglio, also at the helm of the Grand Bé in Saint-Malo. The Darling bar hosts jazz soirées every last Thursday and Friday of the month. “They were such a hit that we had to start taking reservations,” says Manon Ruellan, Marc’s second-in-command. Signature cocktails, English tea with homemade scones and carrot cake, e-bike excursions with picnic baskets... live out a British art de vivre at the Royal Émeraude.
