Cambernon Square in the Haute-Ville neighbourhood has been home for 3 years to an excellent table, La Contremarche. First a fish market, then a school, and then a municipal library, in 2020 the building transformed into an elegant bistro, perfectly renovated by D aniel Cordier and Hugo Bailleul, owner of the bar La Rafale next door. Chef Bastien “Billy” Pinel proposes unique, refined French food. The menu, short to guarantee the freshness of its ingredients, features local and seasonal fish, meat and vegetarian options. The star dish is beef chuck cooked for 24 hours on low, resulting in steak as tender as the confit potato garnish. With its warm atmosphere and bistro-style cooking made with passion, it’s a dont-miss spot.
