Château d'Audrieu

Ideally located between Caen and Bayeux, and only a few kilometres from the D-Day beaches, Château d’Audrieu celebrates all
the facets of the French art of living and invites you to travel through time. Dating from the 18th century and listed as a Historic
Monument, the château holds a 5-star hotel and offers the endearing openness of a family home, all while proposing deluxe
services. Give yourself the gift of an unforgettable stay.

Live the château life in the heart of Calvados a few kilometres from the seaside and the D-Day beaches, where the Norman countryside will sweep you off your feet. Under the refinement of classicism, the experience at Château d’Audrieu is one of an elegant, relaxed family house. Its Classic and Deluxe rooms have been renovated and offer a magnificent view on the gardens, the main courtyard or the wooded park. Spacious, comfortable and stamped by history, the Suites can welcome up to 3 or 4 guests and will make you feel like 21st-century royalty. For a romantic escape for 2, try the cabin perched in the trees. Situated at the edge of the wood, it allies the comfort of a 5-star hotel with the rustic charm of its structure. Listen to the birdsong while you take in a splendid view on the château, its gardens and the Norman countryside from the vast terrace of this unique cocoon. Sixty acres of tree-lined park and gardens surround the château, and more than 3 km of paths allow you to stroll and relax in the calm of the birdsong. Families and children will delight in the numerous corners to discover: flower gardens, vegetable garden, heated pool and wooded park. The Château enjoys easy access to nearby activities of the area, rich in culture, gastronomy and history, like the Norman countryside, D-Day beaches, Mont-Saint-Michel and more.

Dining options at the Château are rich and varied: restaurant Le Séran welcomes its guests in a refined setting for a dinner for two, as a family or among friends. Under the magic wand of Chef Samuel Gaspar, who spent time in the Parisian kitchens of Taillevent, Burgundy and La Scène, local ingredients (some of which are grown onsite) will delight the most demanding of palates. An incredible cellar of 600 bottles holds more than 200 wines from the best winegrowers. Bar 1715 offers its own menu called Chill & Eat, with an ambiance that mixes friendliness, sharing, and relaxation. In summer, Norman picnic baskets are available on request to enjoy at the heart of the quiet, arbored park of the Château. Château d’Audrieu can be rented out for family and professional events like weddings, birthdays, banquets and seminars. According to the seasons, tastings and activities are organised featuring local artisans and products such as cider, calvados and the Château’s own honey. Affiliated with Relais & Châteaux since 1976, Château d’Audrieu is a member of the 2L Collection Group, which values hospitality, an immoderate taste for history, culture, craft, elegance and gastronomy. All of this together honours the excellence of the French way of life in an ideal setting of relaxed luxury.
