At Les Franciscaines, a museum, media library, auditorium, and restaurant come together in a rehabilitated monastery where visitors, artwork, and creators coexist. This year, to celebrate its fifth anniversary, you are invited to take part in art. “We wanted to mark the occasion so that every visitor would feel involved,” says manager Caroline Clémensat. In May, the season opens with exhibits dedicated to the symbolism of the human body and continues with writing and theater workshops open to the public. In July, group karaoke will take over before giving way to a dance mara- thon in August with hip hop, vogue, and karaoke dance in the cloister. In September, try your hand at sketching the artwork and architecture of Les Franciscaines. You can also privatize their spaces: “Hosting an event here isn’t just renting any old space; it’s a customized cultural experience,” says Caroline. And visitors keep coming back, proof that Les Franciscaines creates connections and inspires.
