In Pleurtuit, on the Rance River, the legendary Jersey Lillie reopened its doors in 2024. Behind this bar–restaurant is a story between Gaëlla, her husband, Thibault Charlet, and their childhood friends Julien and Mathiew Total. In 2024, they took over the Jersey Lillie, an address steeped in history with a pontoon that allows you to arrive by boat. “It’s unique and lively, even in name,” says Gaëlla. Its former owners, from Jersey, named it after Lillie Langtry, an actress born in Jersey in the 19th century. The name matches the spirit of inclusivity at the restaurant, where Gaëlla praises the good humor and professionalism of her team. The “bistronomic” menu features fresh, local produce, meat, and fish, and always has vegetarian options. Linger around a snack or a beer in the garden and enjoy concerts, DJ sets, open mics, workshops, and craft markets. The upstairs room is available for rent for events and associations, embodying the philosophy of sharing at Jersey Lillie.
