– In Villers-sur-Mer, Grégory Le Court is keeping zinc roofing relevant. With his tight-knit team, he keeps a time-honored craft alive on diverse work sites. He started out as an apprentice in 1998 in the zinc roofing company founded by Jean Becel, officially taking over in 2022. “For years, I had been managing a lot. Little by little, I had become Jean’s right hand,” says Grégory. Today he leads a team of 12 with a spirit of family. “I’m not an authoritarian boss. I support my team through the good moments and the tough ones.” A specialist in lead, zinc, copper, terraces, and traditional coatings, Grégory has a penchant for old techniques, which “take longer, but are more elegant and durable.” But this taste for the traditional comes with modern equipment, like two aerial lifts to access narrow passages and heights, ideal for manors and small châteaux that are difficult to access. With Grégory Le Court, precision is better than speed.
