Domaine de Montmarin

At the Domaine du Montmarin, Thibault de Ferrand is the steward of 15 acres of gardens, listed as historic monuments, and an apple orchard. Facing the magnificent residence built in 1761, three garden styles—French, English, and Mediterranean—come together. Thibault’s parents opened the park to the public in 1987, and for six generations, the family has faced droughts, storms, climate change, and expenses. Today, their team is made up of Hervé in the garden, Grégoire in the orchard, and Isabelle floating between them. To maintain this heritage, they offer guided visits, weddings, artisanal cider, shopping, Christmas markets, and more. This season, enjoy banquet dinners under the stars and afternoon tea in the French garden. In 2026, Thibault will offer private visits of the house to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the gardens opening to the public.

To keep the heritage alive, they offer a wide range of activities: guided tours, weddings, private events, craft cider, a shop, nurseries, and a Christmas market. This season brings starlit banquet dinners (Aug 2, 9, 16) and a pop-up tearoom beneath the French garden’s magnolia. Thibault is also gently preparing to open the Malouinière for intimate visits in 2026, ahead of the gardens’ 40th anniversary in 2027.
