Discover | Guide to crossing the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel
Sacha Traversées
Having grown up on the Roche Torin farm, Sacha Martinache, 28, has always had the Mont-Saint-Michel on the horizon. Today an independent guide, he offers custom crossings to (re)introduce you to the bay year-round. After graduating from the naval high school in Saint-Malo followed by a 1-year training to become an official guide of the Mont-Saint-Michel Bay, he founded Sacha Traversées. He offers discovery walks around the Mont and the Tombelaine, including during high tide, for families, companies, school groups, and vacationers. He adapts to each group, adjusting the path with the seasons: “In winter, for example, we go into the saltmarshes and the polders.” With humor, sensibility, and education, Sacha transforms each walk into a sensory experience. “A crossing isn’t just getting from point A to point B. We’re here to be filled with wonder... and to honor the Wonder.”
