Calysper
In Gacé, 45 minutes from the Côte Fleurie, Émilie Blaise and Marc Salmon have transformed a former warehouse into a workshop brimming with creations. Bored of their Parisian careers, they pivoted to create furniture and custom objects out of solid wood, metal, slate, and glass at Calysper. For each, they carry out a full investigation complete with visits, sketches, 3D models, and swatches. From the workshop to the showroom, each piece is born from a meeting with the customer, never from a catalog: “We create a story together, pushing the boundaries of what it means to create bespoke pieces,” says Marc. The result? Elegant, durable furniture, such as a bookshelf for manga, a cupboard for tea collectors, a wine cellar with oak and backlit stone. In addition to hosting exhibits and workshops, the duo works with restaurants, high-end shops, and fine grocers.
