In the heart of the Pays d’Auge, Solenn and Stéphane are practicing the art of simple pleasures. Their Norman sanctuary, the Domaine de Geffosses, was where Gustave Flaubert spent his vacations. “Some clients come just for the literary connection and are very moved,” says Solenn. From the small manor where the author slept to the five gites of the former fruit press, the large inde- pendent gite, and the little chalet, everything oozes hospitality. All around, 17 acres of orchards, beehives, and preserved land give it a pastoral tran- quility. Geffosses sleeps up to 53 people, making it perfect for gatherings: “You can rent out the entire Domaine for a weekend, or just a part of it for the night,” says Solenn. The large hall of the Charretterie will serve as a festive space for your weddings, birthdays, and seminars. Solenn and Stéphane provide custom support, too, suggesting caterers, private chefs, team-buil- ding activities, and more.
