In Saint-Malo, Échappée Malouine invites you to set sail. At the helm of its pretty speedboat, Florent Guerit offers private excursions along the Emerald Coast, up the Rance River, and even all the way to the Chausey Islands. Eight years ago, Florent launched Échappée Malouine to take families, friends, and small groups aboard the Sea Bar, a 9-meter fishing and leisure boat. “I love this boat. She was built in 1999 at La Rochelle and has been in my family for 20 years,” he says. He can take up to 7 passengers for long trips and 11 for short ones. Whether for an hour or two, a half day, or a full day, each depar- ture is customized. “I love telling stories about the islands and their history. I know this area by heart,” says Florent. He also offers more private excur- sions, for example, to spread ashes in the sea. And in mid-October, Échappée Malouine will also run a booth during the Route du Rhum race: the perfect opportunity to join Florent for a bespoke excursion on the water.
